The vast area of the 3 Valleys

montagne1LES MENUIRES, 1850m altitude.

Referenced bySKI FRANCE as a ski resort in a giant ski area, family friendly, featuring new snowsports.

An exceptional location in the 3 Valleys, the largest ski area in the world (600 km of pistes and 200 ski lifts), a vast network of pistes, tracks and activities...

Children are pampered in the special "villages" which take them from an early age (3 months at the 'Piou-Piou Club' at the Croisette).

As well as skiing, you can choose from a variety of activities: snow shoes walks or snow scooterrides, the pool or the fitness centre in the health clubs, the skating rink or lugeland (toboggan run), a chance to find out about the cultural heritage of the Belleville Valley, or the evening classical concerts.

Keeping its friendly image and functional reputation (a ski to the door resort), Les Menuires unveils today a new architectural style, featuring chalets and luxury residences , which combine the tradition of stone and wood...

trois vallees

In 1992, the resort was part of the Winter Olympic site of Albertville. With Val Thorens, Les Menuires was the setting for the mens' special slalom. This was won by the Norwegian Jagge, closely followed by the Italian champion Alberto Tomba.

In winter there is direct access to the pistes of the resort as well as the network of the 3 Valleys, Belleville Valley, Les Allues (resort of Meribel) and Courchevel.

In summer, the resort, surrounded by green mountain pastures, is perfect for walking and hiking.

The resort name is often mispelt and pronounced, even in the advertising campaigns.  The local pronounciation is « Menuires » (the name comes from the coal mines worked by the inhabitants of the neighbouring village of Bettex to supply the rest of the valley).
